Other: Peter was awarded the Group Citation for Bravery for service with the Royal Australian Air Force as a loadmaster with 5 Squadron for a rescue in Snowy Mountain in 1988.

Peter was also a Loadmaster instructor at 5 Squadron, 37 Squadron and 285 Squadron.  In 2002, Peter left the RAAF and joined the Queensland Government where he served Queensland Hetitleh and Department of Housing and Public Works.
