Gerry is a Past President of the Vietnam Veterans Federation in Canberra and is a life member of the Federation, a Justice of the Peace, Advocate and Welfare and Pensions Officer.  He has now retired from the advocacy and JP roles (2024).  Gerry had two tours of Vietnam, one as a gunner in 1968, and the other as a crewman in 1970.  Gerry also served in UNEF11 in 1979 and MFO Sinai in 1984 as well as Butterworth on SAR from 1980-1982.  Gerry was a Loadmaster until he retired from the RAAF in 1987.  Vietnam Service Record.
