Colin was with 11 Squadron for many years, first time as an engine fitter at Richmond, then in June 1967, he was posted to 36 Squadron to undergo a C-130A course.  In January 1968, Colin was posted to the USA to undergo a Orion P3B flight engineer course.  Colin left the RAAF in September 1981.
