Mustering:  Engine Fitter.

Robert Edward Greenacre was born on 3rd March 1945.   He joined the RAAF Engineering Apprentice Scheme in January 1961 and became one of the renowned 'Beavers'.   In the first year of his apprenticeship he was in No 2 Flight - the 'Kiwaroos' and in the second year of his apprenticeship, Bob began his training as an engine fitter.

Bob didn′t complete his apprenticeship, transferring to the adult trainee scheme in late 1962 where he completed his training as an engine fitter.

Following his RAAF career, Bob worked for QANTAS for a period but continued to serve with the RAAF General Reserve.   It is understand that some time later he rejoined the RAAF and qualified as a flight engineer with 37 Squadron.   He reached the rank of Warrant Officer, and on his retirement, he returned to QANTAS but continued to serve in the RAAF reserve with No 36 Squadron.
