Vietnam Service Record.
Statement of Service.

Geoffery Earl Unicomb enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force on the 17th of January, 1961, as an apprentice on No 15 Intake 'Beavers', graduating at the end of 1963 as an Instrument Fitter.  His first posting was in January 1964 to No 2 Aircraft Depot, RAAF Base Richmond.  In January 1967, Geoff graduated from No 61 Pilot Course and was posted to No 37 Squadron where he converted onto the C−130E Hercules.

Geoff had a multitude of postings and attachments over the lenght of his service including a tour of Vietnam in 1971 ⁄ 72 with No 2 Squadron and No 1 Operational Support Unit.  Geoff also flew many C−130E missions in support of Vietnam operations with 37 Squadron from 1967 to 1971.  He was also involved with Operation Babylift out of Vietnam in 1975.

Geoff retired from the Permanent Air Force on the 2nd of February, 1982, and then transferred to the Air Force Reserve where he remained until the 21st of February, 1999.

He eventually retired to Queensland where he resided in Narangba.
