Luke was in the Canadian Defence Force from 1975 to 2000 and was with 437 Squadron at Canadian Forces Base Trenton twice from 1979 to 1982 as a flight steward, and from 1988 to 1991 as Flight Steward Leader.

Luke accumulated 3000 hrs on the Boeing 707 and visited Australia on a number of occasions including Darwin, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Perth and to 33 Squadrton at Richmond.  Luke recalls 33 Squadron visiting Trenton two years in a row.

Luke wore the air force uniform for most of his career but retired in a naval uniform as a PO1 which is a Warrant Officer.  The picture above was taken at Luke's last posting where he was chief steward at the steward school in CFB Borden.

After leaving the Canadian Defence Force, Luke had a second career as a property manager.  He and his wife live in Calgary and they enjoy visiting Fort Lauderdale.
