Airman Aircrew Reunion, 2022 ....
General Information ....
Attendance at the 2022 Airman Aircrew Association Reunion is open to all serving and past aircrew, ground personnel and others.
The reunion comprises three main events:
- 1700, Friday 21st October. Wreath-laying ceremony at the Caloundra RSL Cenotaph. Medals optional. Dress: Neat casual.
- 1800, Friday 21st October. Informal ′Meet ′n Greet′. Sub-Branch Function Room. Dress: Neat casual.
- 1800, Saturday 22nd October. Semi-formal reunion dinner. Dress: Neat casual.
Costings Per Person:
- Administration, $30.00. This mandatory fee covers the cost of administration, hire and use of facilities and memorabilia. It is non-refundable.
- ′Meet ′n Greet′, $25.00. Includes finger food and two ticketed welcome drinks. Additional drinks may be purchased from the bar at bar prices.
- Dinner, $55.00. Alternate drop of main course and dessert followed by tea and coffee. Limited complimentary drinks provided on each table. Additional drinks may be purchased from the bar at bar prices. Menu will be provided in due course. The evening will include entertainment and a guest speaker.
- Seating: Circular tables with seating for eight per table. With the exception of the top table, there will be no seating plan.

Please see the Registration Page for the registration details. It is requested that your registration form and payment be received no later than 30th September. Should a cancellation occur, then regretably, the administration fee cannot be reimbursed.

Caloundra RSL:
The Caloundra RSL is set in wonderful surroundings and close to popular beaches and tourist centres. Visitors will find plenty to do or places to visit. Whilst the Caloundra RSL has a wonderful and comprehensive military museum, the Queensland Air Museum is close by at 7 Pathfinder Drive, Caloundra West. For a small entry fee, visitors will see a wide variey of aircraft, military and civilian, and other associated aviation items.
Friday 21st - Golf. CANCELLED.
Saturday 22nd - Visit to the Queensland Air Museum. 10:00am. Organised by Tony Johnstone and Pedro Scovell. Entry cost is $12.00 per person. Cash is the preferred payment method as the computer payment system at the entrance is not currently set-up to accept a payment of that amount ($12.00).
The reunion is guaranteed to be a great event with some interesting activities planned as well as a variety of great raffle prizes which include two 45-minute flights over the Glasshouse Mountains in a Cessna 172. Please stay-tuned for more details which will be posted in due course. Accommodation Options closest to the RSL and serviced by the RSL courtesy bus. There are several motels and caravan parks in the area. These include: The Big 4 Caloundra Holiday and Tourist Park is the closest caravan park to the Caloundra RSL and just a few minutes drive or a brisk 15-minute walk. The RSL courtesy bus is available for pick-up and drop-off. Tariff at The Big 4 is around $52.00 per night with a $1.00 deposit. Credit card will be debited two weeks prior to the date at which the booking takes affect.
